Fee Structure

Consultations:

The Law Office of Janis Peterson-Lord offers initial consultations at the minimal fee of $25.00, whether by telephone or in person. Simply call our office to schedule an appointment and pay by credit card or Paypal.

Immigration Cases have fixed fees:

Our case legal services are offered on a reasonable "fixed fee" basis. Under our "fixed fee" arrangement clients know what to expect to pay and can budget without fear of costs to seek legal representation.

Other Cases:

In civil matters, such as adoption and divorce, most cases are handled at an hourly rate. The fee is in direct relation to how much time is needed to devote to the case. In these cases, a "retainer" is paid and the client is billed on a regular basis if the amount exceeds the retainer.

An attorney-client relationship is not established until you have accepted and signed an engagement agreement with our office.
